What We Don’t Buy:

  • Closed containers under pressure (propane/gas cylinders, fire extinguishers, aerosol cans, etc.) These containers can only be accepted if stems are removed and opened (punctured, drilled, cut) so that containers are no longer pressurized and verifiably empty.
  • Dirt, debris or trash of any kind
  • Free-flowing liquids, gas, oil, paint, propane, water, etc.
  • Hazardous, toxic or radioactive materials of any kind
  • Mercury switches
  • Ordinance scrap
  • PCB-containing materials (ballasts, capacitors, transformers)
  • Steel drums without certification of cleaning

*Please check your local recycling facility for special instructions and a current list of what metals will be accepted. Items accepted and special instructions at locations can vary depending on state and local scrap metal laws.

Scrap Guidelines:

1. Appliances with Freon are subject to additional charges

2. Vehicles must have a signed title by the owner and notarized. Five tires are allowed per vehicle. However, oversize tires are subject to charges.
